What We Collect

When you use CINEQUAY, we may collect the following types of information:

Account information

When you register, we collect your email address and a password. Optionally, you may provide a display name. We use this to identify your account and keep your preferences and watchlist in sync.

Usage information

We collect information about how you interact with CINEQUAY — such as search queries you enter, titles you browse or add to your list, and general activity on the platform. This helps us improve the experience over time.

Device information

We automatically collect basic technical information from your browser or app, including your browser type, operating system, and general location derived from your IP address (city or region level). We do not store or log your full IP address long-term.

Communications

If you contact us for support or respond to a survey, we collect the contents of that exchange so we can assist you and improve the service.

Service providers

We work with trusted vendors who help us operate the platform — such as hosting, analytics, and customer support tools. These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on our behalf.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process — or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of CINEQUAY or its users.

Business transfers

If CINEQUAY is ever acquired, merged, or sold, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We would notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Minors

CINEQUAY is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

05

Security & Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service and comply with our legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it securely.

If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

06

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-app notice.
